Elephant play and important role in Jaipur, where they're used for going up the ramparts of Amber Fort. The capital also has a festival dedicated to elephants, such as during Holicelebrations when they are used fro playing elephant-polo and other thrilling games.

Unique to this area, where rides are common and a large number of trained elephant are easily available along with their mahouts. An elephant safari is likely to be a regal affair, with short peregrinations into the countryside, accompanying chefs, entertainers and other facilities that will take visitors back to a world of royal journeys. Such safaris can range from a few hours to a few days. It is proposed to build and elephant park around Jaipur.

Background

Horses were a traditional means of transport for the warrior Rajputs and safaris have been popular in the Mewar and Shekhawati regions. A local breed of hardy horses- the Marwari- is being bred for polo and safaris.
