Tourism Asia 2000 which will be held from September 14-16 at Hong Kong has entered into an agrement with Cathay Pacific, a founder member of the oneworld alliance as major sponsor for the travel event. Following this agreement, ITA trade buyers from the far reaches of the globe will be able to reach Hong Kong by Cathay Pacific with special AD 50 airfares offered. Cathay Pacific's partnership with ITA will also boost its campaign to bring the world to Hong Kong. ITA 2000 organised by Messe Berlin is supported by the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Universal Federation of Travel Agent's Associations (UFTAA) among others. Exhibitors and buyers from about 37 countries all over the world are expected to participate in ITA 2000. |
